Chinese New Year's Eve - 2011 [Reunion Meal]


Today - 2.2.2011 whereby it is a LAST DAY for Chinese Lunar Calendar. Most of Chinese Family in Malaysia will take this opportunity to pray for their ancestors at home.

My mom need visit to hospital for minor eye surgery, I promose my mom that I will cook for the ancestor praying lunch this year. Ha! As usual my mom very worry on cooking skill, she decide to order some dishes from outside, the rest she will let me to play around in the kitchen.

Good Lunch are prepared.

We have prapared Chinese/malay style lunch, fruits, chinese red turtle cake for the event.

This is Fried duck order by my mom in a restuarant.

This is Fried Chicken....order from a local restaurant.

Normally - Malaysian Chinese will start their Reunion Lunch in Chinese New Year's eve immediate after the ancestor praying completed.

My second dish presentation - SaPo Tofu......In fact, this is my wife great afford to prepare for the meal.

You can see - prawn, muchroom, brocolli, tomato.........

My wife need to fried the tofu before arranging it into the claypot.

This is a Malay favourite chili source - SAMBAL. It is made by Chilli and Lacal Malay Prawn Paste (Belacan).

This is my third dish presentation - Friend BeeHoon / Noodle.

This is my forth dish presentation - Nyonya Curry Prawn with sweet sour taste.
It is a typical Malays-Chinese (Nyonya) traditional cooking cuisine.

This is my fifth dish presentation - Beancurt Fried with Salt Bean
